Saturday, June 2
Rothesay Masters:
June 2 - 3rd
First sanctioned tournament of the 2012 summer season. This event is open to anyone aged 30 (or turning 30 in 2012) and over. Registrations can be done online. Contact Mark Thibault at the Tennis NB office.

Community Tennis Volunteer Course:
Saturday, June 9th: 9:00am - 4:00pm
The CTV course will be held at the Sussex Community Tennis Club. This is a one-day non-certification course which supports communities to train their volunteers with some basic tennis development skills to assist with instructors and coaches. Contact Mark Thibault at the Tennis NB office.

ATA Junior Circuit Event:
June 15 - 17th
This tournament is open to juniors and includes division for Under 10, Under 12, Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18 for both boys and girls. It will be held at the Moncton Tennis Club in Centennial Park. Registration can be done online. Contact Mark Thibault at the Tennis NB office.

Moncton Open:
June 16 - 17th
This tournament will be held at the Moncton Tennis Club in Centennial Park and will include Men's Open Singles, Men's 4.0 Singles. Ladies Singles, Men's & Ladies Doubles, and Mixed Doubles. Registration can be done online. Contact is Mark Thibault at the Tennis NB office.

East Coast Open:
June 29th - July 1st
One of our feature events of the summer, the East Coast Open takes place at 3 venues; the Moncton Tennis Club, the Dieppe Tennis Club, and the Riverview Tennis Club. It includes events for juniors, open players and masters and includes some social events as well. Registration can be done online. Contact is Mark Thibault at the Tennis NB office.

Tennis NB Hall of Fame & Awards Banquet:
Friday, June 29th: 6:00 - 10:00pm
The 3rd Annual Tennis NB Hall of Fame & Awards Banquet is held in conjunction with the East Coast Open and takes place at the Chateau Moncton on Friday evening, June 29th. Tickets can be purchased online when registering for the East Coast Open or by contacting Mark Thibault at the Tennis NB office.

Summer Tennis Camps:
July 3rd - August 31st
This summer, the Capital Region Tennis Association is organizing weekly half-day tennis camps in Fredericton for kids aged from 5 to 11 at Kimble Park and for teenagers aged from 12 to 16 at Wilmot Park.
The camps offer teaching programs for beginners and for more experienced players. The teaching curriculum includes progressive tennis equipment, age appropriate racquets, balls and nets, all supplied as part of the weekly camp fee of from $100 to $125.
Campers learn from certified and trained Tennis Canada instructors led by David Phillips, the director of operations for the Abony Community Tennis Centre. To see more information, visit the Summer Camp info under Programs on the menu - you can also register there under Summer Camp Registration.

One of our members, Alan Thompson, has graciously offered his house to host a garden gathering and to watch the Men's Wimbledon Final. For the small price of $5, you will be treated a strawberries and cream, be able to enjoy some progressive tennis in the garden, and also be treated to one of the most anticipated tennis events of the season! The event will be BYOB.

Join your fellow Adult Drop-in players for a cold drink on the patio of the Wilser's Room (weather permitting). There will be $3.50 Coors Light and Canadian Draft as well as $3.50 rum, rye, gin, and vodka!
We are going to try and make this a bi-weekly event so come on out, enjoy a drink, and get to know your fellow tennis players!"

On Sunday a 2-hour Wood Motors Ford Adult Tennis Camp lead by Steve Getchell from Saddlebrook Resort and Tennis Academy will be held from 9am to 11am.
Steve will also host a Youth Camp for kids 11 to 16 years (recreational) from 2pm until 4pm Sunday.

Indoor Tennis Focus Groups!:

As we draw closer to the grand opening of our six-court indoor community tennis facility, we have begun to consider the types of programming we will offer to our members. Please join us for round table discussions on Wednesday, August 22. David Phillips, our Director of Operations, will be on site at Wilmot Park Tennis Courts from 9 to 11 a.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. for general conversation / feedback -- to discuss such topics as: *types of programming (drop-in, weekly, sign-up, etc), hours of operation, fees, flexibility, etc.
David Phillips will lead the discussions and is excited to meet you and gather your ideas in helping us to build the types of programming and atmosphere that we will all enjoy this Fall and Winter season.
