Scott Takes Home the Hardware!
Alberta's Harrison Scott has claimed his first national singles title in Toronto at the Rogers U18 Junior National Championships.
The win was made all the more sweet by defeating an extremely tough opponent and first seed, David Volfson, who has gotten the better of him in recent big matches. Battling sickness in the beginning of the week, Harrison made no excuses and fought hard to get through the early rounds. By the time he won his quarter final in three tight sets, he was beginning to find his timing. This was clear in the semi final when he beat a higher ranked opponent comfortably to set up this eagerly anticipated final in which Harrison prevailed 6-4, 1-6, 6-2.
