Registration Policies & Procedures

Privacy Statement:
Tennis Newfoundland & Labrador is committed to upholding fundamental principles of honesty and integrity in all aspects of our business. Our objective is to build a long-lasting relationship with our customers, donors, sponsors, volunteers and employees based on a foundation of trust. It is our policy that all personal information collected, including that of customers, donors, sponsors, volunteers and employees of Tennis Newfoundland & Labrador, is kept in the strictest confidence by Tennis Newfoundland & Labrador and will not be disclosed and/or sold or traded to anyone except Tennis Newfoundland & Labrador, its employees, agents, officers and directors. The information will only be used by Tennis Newfoundland & Labrador for the purposes for which it was collected, as disclosed to the individual or entity at the time of collection.

Description of Service offered:
The online registration program allows for players to enter Tennis Newfoundland & Labrador tournaments. Players who have a valid provincial tennis membership will be able to enter tournaments using their provincial license and password. Players that do not have a valid provincial membership will be restricted from registering for tournaments; these players are required to contact their respective provincial tennis association for details on obtaining a valid provincial membership.

ATHLETES RELEASE:
IN CONSIDERATION OF ACCEPTANCE OF MY ENTRY into a provincially-sanctioned event, I, intend to be legally bound, do hereby, for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators, parents or guardians: (i) waive and release and forever discharge any and all rights and claims for damage which I may have or may hereafter accrue to me against the Club holding these tournaments, the Tennis Newfoundland & Labrador, Tennis Canada, the organizers of the athletic event or its or their respective officers, agents, representatives and/or assigns for any damages which may arise out of my travelling to or participating in and returning from said athletic event; and (ii) consent and grant permission to Tennis Newfoundland & Labrador, TennisCanada, the organizers of the athletic event or its or their respective officers, agents, representatives and/or assigns to use (without, for greater certainty, any further consent or fee being required) any photograph, videotape or other electronic recording device of my image taken, filmed or recorded during, or in connection with, my participation in the provincially sanctioned tournament, for any promotional, news or other purpose.

I am familiar with and will abide by both the Rules and Regulations and the Code of Conduct for Tennis Newfoundland & Labrador sanctioned tournaments (or will become familiar with them prior to entering the Tennis Newfoundland & Labrador tournaments). I accept full responsibility for my conduct during the Tennis Newfoundland & Labrador tournaments as it relates to the Code.

Refund/Withdrawal Policy:
Withdrawal notification from the registered tournament is to be sent to the Tournament Director no later than 3 business days prior to the start of the event. In the case where a participant withdraws from an event 3 or more calendar days prior to the event beginning, a full refund will be provided. If players withdraw less than 3 calendar days prior to the start of the event, registration fees will be non-refundable. In the case of events where draws are prepared earlier than 3 days before the start of the event, notice of cancellation must be made before the draws are completed to be eligible for a refund. Refunds will be issued through Tennis Newfoundland & Labrador. Contact tennis@sportnl.ca for your refund. The online processing fee paid by Tennis Newfoundland & Labrador to the online payment company will be deducted from all refunds.

Payment Service Provider:
Tennis Newfoundland & Labrador uses Moneris to process all payment information; records of members credit card information is not maintained by Tennis Newfoundland & Labrador.

Delivery Standards:
When a player successfully registers for a tournament, the player will receive confirmation of his/her payment transaction via email in real time.
